Does any of this sound familiar?
The "What's your last price?" terror – hours of back-and-forth with rude prospects who never show up or cancel last minute. The "buyer protection" scam – buyers claim after delivery that the item didn't match the description, get their money refunded via PayPal/eBay and often keep the goods anyway. The return-stress – tinkerers buy your part, "repair" it to death and then try to reverse the purchase via buyer protection. The money is gone and the hardware is even more broken – sometimes you only get back an empty chip wrapper.
By the way – even as a private person selling privately, you are liable for the accuracy of your description. One wrong word ("worked until yesterday") can lead to legal trouble. Not with us!
We commercially purchase defective parts such as graphics cards and motherboards, repair them and resell them — with a 1-year warranty. This is (unfortunately) not a hobby. What you get as a private seller on eBay or classified ads often comes hand in hand with the loss of time, nerves and unnecessary risk – even if it's "only" the loss of faith in humanity.
We carry that risk for you!
To make this possible, we calculate with an hourly rate of 45€ — significantly below the usual master's rate in the electronics trade (60–80€). On buyback we deduct 19% VAT from each part. So if you want 100€ for a part, it's worth around 84€ to us, because we have to give that money away for things like more bureaucracy, bike lanes in Peru and unnecessary wars. Germany is in the global top 5! Sounds great – but it's not about technology and innovation, it's about taxes and levies we pay on resale. We also pay platform fees (e.g. eBay commissions), spare parts, the risk of total failure and finally a 1-year warranty obligation on resale.
So a bit less remains for everyone – but it's realistic and fairly calculated, and you get it right after the inspected goods arrive – no stress, no renegotiations.
